Week 4- Roses- Sophia Perez

Since the pandemic began I have been in my house almost all day every day and in doing so, I  have noticed how empty a room can look without flowers. Making flower arrangements has become a fun hobby for me during quarantine and I took this picture when I was arranging the roses I had just bought. They looked so beautiful and vibrant, I couldn't help but take a picture. The roses are obviously all the same color but, the light from the window makes the rose in focus appear a little brighter red than the roses in the background. Everytime I walk into the kitchen they bring me a sense of peace and make the kitchen smell good.

  1. Great photo and example of one of the lighting designers primary goal - selective visibility - tell us where to look - nice connection to your emotional state as well :)
