Brianna Russavage-Week 8-New Christmas
This is my first Christmas tree that I have owned, outside of my family's tree that I would normally decorate. I love this little tree and what it represents. It's five feet tall and fits perfectly in the corner of my small apartment. Before I began decorating, I turned on the lights to see what it looked like bare. The warm glow mixed with the cool shadows, projected the intertwined branches on the walls. I love that the texture from the branches almost look like snowflakes. This projection made me think of the gobo that is utilized in lighting. This photo also allowed me to think more about texture within lighting, something I feel I haven't paid too much attention to. However, I am happy this photo has texture because it is something I will look more for and another element that I can consider creatively.
