Week 2- Yosemite- Nicole Evins

This picture was taken at the beginning of September at Yosemite. It was my first time there and on this particular day we went to visit the giant Sequoia trees that were deep within the forests. Compared to some Sequoias I saw that day, this one was relatively small. I was playing around with my camera and the only way I could capture the full tree was with a panoramic photo and I really liked how it came out. It was sunset which made it the perfect tome to take the picture because the light hitting the middle of the trees brought out more of the reddish color of the trunks just at the bottom. With the shadow casted on the trees, they get darker as you look higher on the trees which really brings out how small I was compared to this beautiful Sequoia.

  1. Really interesting photo. Nice ties to how light played a part in the photo for you. Nice post
